Arvato Supply Chain Solutions in Poland, a leader in comprehensive logistics services for, among others, online stores and retail chains, will open another fulfillment center at Prologis. A high-class, build-to-suit facility dedicated to handling orders for one of the world's leading clothing brands will be built at Prologis Park Poznań III.
„Our industry is growing dynamically, we are also developing and acquiring new clients. Logistics buildings must ensure high operational efficiency, and from the location of a logistics center, we require a favorable position (close to major transport routes) and rapid investment implementation in accordance with our requirements and those of our client. Prologis offers us all this, which is why we are investing in another building within their parks" – said Lidia Ratajczak-Kluck, President of the Management Board at Arvato Supply Chain Solutions in Poland.
The new BTS facility with an area of over 48,000 square meters at Prologis Park Poznań III will join facilities with a total area of over 77,000 square meters currently leased by the company at Prologis Park Błonie and Prologis Park Stryków II.
“When implementing BTS projects, the key to success is understanding the client's needs. That is why our project team became thoroughly acquainted with the nature of the client's operations, which combine online order fulfillment and stationary sales, and we also discussed the plans of both companies. Arvato Supply Chain Solutions in Poland, together with the client, intend to invest significantly in logistics infrastructure within the building, which is why we proposed structural solutions that will enable such development in the future” - said Damian Zdunkiewicz, Leasing & Customer Experience Manager at Prologis.
The building will have a clear height of 12 meters and a reinforced floor allowing for a load of up to 11 tons, prepared for the installation of a large, multi-level mezzanine and infrastructure automating e-commerce logistics operations. The project also includes the possibility of equipping the warehouse with additional dock doors. For greater safety and work comfort, natural lighting will occupy as much as 12 percent of the area, from 5% up to 70% depending on the work zone in the warehouse – in the dock zone, there will be windows above the docks, and the doors themselves will be transparent. The BTS will be built to a high standard and will meet a number of environmental requirements; it will be powered by green energy produced directly on the park's premises, and energy-efficient building lighting will be provided by a top-quality LED installation.
