Hillwood Polska has signed a loan agreement worth more than EUR 13 million with Bank BNP Paribas for the development of a logistics park in Syców and an agreement worth more than EUR 35 million for the development of a park in Rawa Mazowiecka.
- We are pleased with the support of Bank BNP Paribas in the process of expanding our parks in Rawa Mazowiecka and Syców. Our cooperation with the partner has been successful, especially thanks to the efficient negotiation of commercial terms and the quick credit decision," stresses Hubert Michalak, CEO at Hillwood Polska. The investment in Rawa Mazowiecka is particularly noteworthy. The history of the area where the logistics park is currently being built is extremely interesting. Previously, the area was occupied by the tallest office building in Rawa Mazowiecka and buildings of a meat processing plant, which were closed many years ago. Hillwood invests in brownfield projects, which involve the remediation of dilapidated brownfield sites, while aiming to reduce the environmental impact of operations, he adds.
Hillwood's projects use various solutions in line with its sustainability policy. As with Hillwood's other developments, the parks in Syców and Rawa Mazowiecka will also be equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting and some of the equipment will be powered by green energy from photovoltaic farms. In the surroundings of the buildings, instead of traditional lawns, it is planned to establish flower meadows, which will contribute to savings and naturally support a better microclimate around the park.
- We have been working with the Hillwood Group for many years, supporting our client in the implementation of their projects. Each successful project strengthens our relationship and mutual trust, which is very important for our institution. When selecting the projects that our Bank intends to finance, we are guided by both a strictly credit assessment and the impact of these projects on the environment, their sustainability. The projects we have financed meet these criteria, and the brownfield investment in Rawa Mazowiecka is of particular interest to us, as it will result in the reclamation of damaged land and the creation of a modern logistics park in this area - our Bank attaches great importance to all such activities," says Marek Kowalski, Head of Structured Real Estate Finance Department at BNP Paribas Bank
