Citylink is selling land in Łódź to DSV for a transport superhub. A new logistics center will be built on the 5.7-hectare property located on Zakładowa Street.
DSV strives to implement projects that accelerate the green transformation of the logistics sector and strengthen the resilience of national and European supply chains. The logistics provider is raising the bar in terms of implementing sustainable development, attaching importance to the highest ecological standards in all its facilities in Europe and Poland. DSV's priority is to ensure that all investments meet the most stringent ecological criteria and support clients in achieving individual goals related to CO2 emission reduction throughout the supply chain.
- We are pleased that the very good location offered by the Citylink Łódź project will be able to contribute to the realization of the DSV Group's goals in terms of reducing the carbon footprint of its operations. The location of the site in the Widzew district of Łódź, with direct access to public transport and just 1.5 km from the A1 motorway junction, guarantees excellent logistics service not only for Łódź, but also for the entire Central Poland region. We share with DSV an approach and understanding of the importance of aspects related to sustainable development in the warehouse investments being carried out. While preparing the project for construction in the land development process, we focused on a high level of environmental aspects with future users in mind - comments Michał Gonicki, Leasing & Asset Manager at CL Property.
CL Property was responsible for the entire land development process, including the acquisition of individual plots from private individuals and the City, through obtaining the environmental decision, to obtaining the building permit. The company also completed the access road, cabling of the power line, and responsible demolition of existing buildings.
The planned facility will consist of a cross-dock courier section and a high-bay warehouse, occupying a total of over 26,000 square meters. The goal is to ensure energy self-sufficiency, which is why the building will be equipped with photovoltaic panels and an energy storage system. The investment also includes installations supporting efficient water management and infrastructure supporting electromobility, including chargers for delivery and passenger cars. The prototype for the Łódź investment is the currently under-construction DSV logistics center in Wypędy near Warsaw.
