LCP Properties with another building permit for SBU-type warehouses

LCP Properties, one of the leading investors and developers on the Polish retail park market, also expanding its operations in the small business unit (SBU) sector under the Multipark brand, has received another building permit for a project of this type, this time in Gdańsk. The first stage of Multipark Gdańsk will provide over 5,400 sqm of GLA with eighteen modules. The project opening is planned for Q4 2024.

Multipark Gdańsk will be built in the western part of the city, on Szczęśliwa Street, right next to the transport hub with the S6 expressway. In the first stage of the investment, two buildings will be constructed with a total of eighteen modules and 5,400 sqm of GLA. After completing the first stage, LCP also plans to implement the second one. The opening of the new SBU under the Multipark brand is planned for Q4 2024.

„In the first weeks of the year, we are maintaining the high pace of operations from the end of 2023 – within just one month, we have received building permits for two separate Multiparks, first in Sosnowiec, and now in Gdańsk. Thus, we are entering construction sites at two ends of Poland almost in parallel”, commented Magdalena Kowalewska, COO, LCP Properties in Poland. „The events of recent months at LCP perfectly illustrate what we talk about so often – we are strongly focused on growth, and we look at the year 2024, which has already begun, with optimism, through the prism of great opportunities for our further development”, she added.

Units in SBU-type warehouses, available together with modern office space, are most often used for showroom needs, last-mile logistics, warehouse space, service space, online stores, or retail pickup points.

An interesting aspect of the project being implemented in Gdańsk is the fact that, as a result of successful cooperation with the City Hall of Gdańsk, LCP decided to make part of its land in Gdańsk available for the implementation of an important municipal investment, a pedestrian and bicycle path, which will provide a direct connection between the footbridge over the Tricity Bypass and the key PKM Gdańsk Kiełpinek station. Moreover, LCP will co-finance this investment, allocating 500,000 PLN for this purpose.

This undertaking aims to improve the pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure in the region, and is also intended to facilitate and encourage residents to use ecological means of transport.
