New road to Industrial Park Poland by Hillwood

Hillwood is beginning to expand and upgrade access roads that connect the largest planned industrial and logistics park in Poland, Industrial Park Poland by Hillwood, to the A2 highway. 

- The Stare Miasto municipality is taking advantage of its convenient location along the A2 highway and available infrastructure to locate new investors and develop the municipality's economy. The main partner involved in the expansion of the industrial and logistics park available at the Konin Wschód junction is Hillwood, which has signed an agreement with the municipality for the development and construction of a new 100-hectare part of the park, as well as access roads and traffic circles with complementary technical infrastructure. Work on the DK72 road and Kasztelanska Street will begin in the coming weeks. Together with the partner, we have ensured the comfort and safety of residents and future users of the park. The investment will include the construction of new bus stops with bays, pedestrian routes and bicycle paths. Safe exits to adjacent properties will also be created. All road sections will be equipped with street lighting along with illumination of pedestrian crossings," says Dariusz Puchała, Head of Stare Miasto Commune.

The works will include the expansion of Kasztelańska Street, a municipal road, on a section of about 510 meters, the construction of a new section of a municipal road of about 200 meters, and the reconstruction of National Road No. 72 on a section of about 800 meters, along with two traffic circles. The cost of this project is more than 20 million zlotys and is financed entirely by Hillwood. The investment will provide an efficient connection to the A2 highway for future users of Industrial Park Poland by Hillwood, as well as for local residents. 

- Users of Industrial Park Poland by Hillwood, who will begin their operations on the 100ha-plus site, require efficient, fast and safe access to the park from the A2 highway, the DK72 road or the rail terminal in Konin. Therefore, together with the Stare Miasto Municipality and the GDDKiA, we have found technical solutions that will provide comfort to future users of the park, but also to the local community. Implementation of the target layout serving the economic activity area has been divided into stages. We are currently proceeding with the implementation of the first of them. We will perform the work as quickly as possible and in such a way that the inconvenience to residents and traffic participants will be the least. In consultation with the municipality and the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, solutions have been developed to increase road capacity while maintaining traffic flow and improving traffic safety.

Industrial Park Poland is a project by Hillwood Poland located in the Stare Miasto municipality near Konin, at the intersection of the A2 highway and national road No. 72. The project is being developed on a 137-hectare site, where a modern logistics and production center of more than 600,000 sq m will eventually be built.
