MDC² has acquired a new investment plot for the development of a warehouse and logistics project in Upper Silesia. The 13.4-hectare site is located in one of the most strategic spots on the map of Gliwice.
The MDC² Park Gliwice complex will consist of three buildings with the possibility of division into smaller modules, tailored to the needs of a full spectrum of clients, from logistics operators and e-commerce representatives to manufacturing companies.
The 13.4-hectare investment plot is located in one of the most strategic spots on the map of Gliwice. Situated on Pszczyńska Street, the city's main transport artery, the property will have convenient access to the A1 and A4 motorways, as well as public transport within just a few minutes' walk. Within a radius of less than 100 km, there are also three international airports (Katowice, Kraków, and Ostrava).
MDC² Park Gliwice will be designed and built in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. The MDC² construction team will aim to obtain BREEAM New Construction certification at the Excellent level. The project includes an outdoor sports facility for tenants and innovative green areas.
ESG is the foundation of the MDC² strategy – all facilities delivered by the company will meet the highest standards and requirements of sustainable construction, such as: 95% of materials used in construction being recyclable, or building roofs adapted for the installation of photovoltaic panels, and for every project, MDC² will strive to obtain the BREEAM New Construction Excellent certificate.
Upper Silesia is one of the most attractive warehouse regions in Poland, enjoying consistently growing interest among tenants. MDC² Park Gliwice will meet their expectations by providing a number of key attributes: flexible space and a great location with a good network of connections to other parts of the country and the region, as well as access to qualified employees. We are also pleased to be working on this project with an established investor whose experience, know-how, and knowledge of the local market will be an invaluable contribution to the venture - said Katarzyna Dudzik, Development Director at MDC², responsible for the southern part of Poland.
We see great potential in the logistics industry, which continues to develop even during the pandemic, stimulated by trends such as the expansion of e-commerce and the relocation of supply chains to the CEE region. Taking this into account, we can be sure of the success of our new investment - said Hadley Dean, founder of MDC².
