Panattoni recovers more post-industrial land within city limits

Panattoni is approaching half a million sq m delivered within the City Logistics segment in Poland. This time, the developer has started the construction of 25,000 sq m of speculative space on ul. Dostawcza in Łódź. It will be a brownfield investment, which will be built on the site of a former gas bottling plant. City Logistics Łódź VI will obtain BREEAM certification at the Excellent level, and the developer will, among other things, prepare the roof for the installation of photovoltaic panels.

Panattoni has delivered hundreds of thousands of square meters within the borders of Łódź, of which over 100,000 sq m are within City Logistics facilities, which constitute an excellent platform for last-mile logistics operations. Now, the developer is starting its sixth such investment in the regional capital - 25,000 sq m of industrial space will be created in a single building on ul. Dostawcza. The attractiveness of the location is confirmed by the full commercialization of two Panattoni projects adjacent to City Logistics Łódź VI. The location within the city limits ensures very good access to urban infrastructure, including public transport, which will significantly facilitate efficient access to the facility for employees.

"Facilities from the City Logistics segment combine an excellent urban location with full flexibility. Small modules allow for the conduct of even smaller businesses, and modern space allows for the conduct of diverse processes, from warehousing, through light production, logistics, e-commerce, even to service activities. City Logistics Łódź VI will be another important business platform for the city, attracting representatives of various industries, who will gain a base for serving the city, the region, and even the entire country, thanks to the central location of Łódź" – says Katarzyna Kujawiak, Development Director at Panattoni.

As part of the "Go Earthwise with Panattoni" strategy, the developer is increasingly expanding its portfolio of brownfield investments, which in 2022 accounted for as much as 1/3 of all the company's projects. By recovering degraded post-industrial areas, the company implements the principles of a circular economy. Due to the lower availability of new land within city limits, it is the City Logistics segment that is becoming the driving force of brownfield development, an example of which is the latest Łódź project. The investment is being built on the site of a liquidated gas bottling plant, which will allow for the reuse of land for the city's development.

Representatives of dozens of industries benefit from City Logistics investments delivered by Panattoni throughout Poland. Thanks to good access to the recipient in the city, growing e-commerce or e-grocery, which want to reach the customer even on the day of the order, very often choose such facilities. In addition, the space is used by start-ups, small and medium-sized trading and trade-production enterprises. In recent years, clients such as FM Logistics, DSV, Rhenus Logistics, Frisco, Barbora, Żabka, Raven, Well Pack, InPost or OneDayMore have chosen City Logistics from Panattoni.
