On 20 September 2023, Raben Logistics Polska and Kärcher celebrated the opening of a new dedicated warehouse space in Chlebnia. Operations for this customer will be carried out on an area of 8,000 m2. The two companies were united by their sustainable approach to doing business and the family roots of the companies. Kärcher started cooperation with Raben Logistics Polska in 2022. With the launch of the warehouse, the service portfolio will expand to include warehousing and related services. Raben offers the customer, apart from the standard process, many new solutions thanks to which the handling of the customer's goods is optimised.
- Thanks to Raben, we have a reliable logistics partner on our side, who tailors solutions exactly to our needs". - says Dieter Grajer, COO and member of the management board of Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG. - In addition, we are united by an awareness of social responsibility, values and a focus on climate and environmental protection. This makes our partnership particularly valuable and goes beyond logistics.
Raben Logistics Polska currently has about 560,000 m2 of warehouse space at its disposal. Each year, investing in new facilities and modernising older ones, the company focuses on energy efficiency. In its facilities, the company uses, among others, such solutions as LED lighting and automatic lighting control systems (through motion detection and measurement of the amount of daylight) combined with skylights providing access to natural light; gas heating based on radiant heaters with increased radiation efficiency; thermal insulation of hydraulic ramp platforms; mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, as well as power generators covering 100% of the electricity demand.
In addition, as a socially responsible company Raben is taking a number of measures to address climate challenges in the long term. In addition to applying a number of ecological solutions in warehouses in terms of saving natural resources or purchasing green energy, the fleet is also being systematically replaced to meet the latest greenhouse gas emission requirements.
