In Źródła near Wrocław, the construction of a warehouse hall with an area of 7,200 sqm has been completed. The investor, the company Hal-Mag, decided to reclaim a post-industrial site where a clay mine once operated.
The facility was built in Źródła (Środa district, Miękinia municipality), located west of Wrocław, by national road No. 94. It consists of a single-story warehouse hall with social and office facilities, divided into three modules – each with an area of 2,400 sqm. The investor, Hal-Mag, decided to allocate the space for lease.
The design and general contracting were handled by the company WPIP Construction. As part of the investment, internal road infrastructure was also created, including roads, maneuvering areas, and parking spaces, as well as reservoirs: fire-fighting and retention.
The work was carried out on a post-industrial site; the investor decided to reclaim it. Previously, an open-pit clay mine operated in this location. Furthermore, the plot was placed under the protection of the heritage conservator because the area was part of the battlefield of the Battle of Leuthen.
– The investment we have completed is a model example of how such projects should be managed on brownfield sites – believes Janusz Signetzki, CEO of WPIP Construction. – We appreciate the fact that thanks to the investor, the plot where industrial activity was once conducted will gain a new function.
– Thanks to successful cooperation with the general contractor, WPIP Construction, based on mutual understanding of needs, we managed to create a modern commercial facility meeting high technical and environmental standards at a fast pace – claims Tomasz Kroczak, board member of Hal-Mag. – We want all our investments to fit as well as possible into the spatial order of the places where they are created.
