DSV - Global Transport and Logistics joins LCube Rzeszów Airport tenants

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics has become a new tenant at LCube Rzeszów Airport. One of the global leaders in the TSL industry has taken a total of nearly 3,000 sqm of space in the warehouse and production facility, the construction of which was completed earlier this year. A state-of-the-art cross-dock terminal will be built here, as well as the new headquarters of the operator's transport division in southeastern Poland. 

LCube Rzeszów Airport is an industrial and warehouse park being developed in two phases, with construction beginning in 2021. A plot of 5.5 hectares has been developed with 25.8 thousand sqm of modern A-class warehouse space. DSV has been provided with 2.5 thousand sqm of warehouse space and 360 sqm for offices. This means that there is only 10 thousand sqm left to lease at LCube Rzeszów Airport.

"Rzeszow is an interesting warehouse market, which still needs modern space, including for logistics or manufacturing companies. Cooperation with DSV, which is intensively expanding its warehouse base in Poland, is a very important part of the development of our entire organization, like the development of the Rzeszow project," - Adrian Biesaga, LCube board member, said.

The space at LCube Rzeszów Airport, a modern facility located close to the airport in Jasionka, is an interesting addition to the warehousing resources of DSV, which recently announced a 5-year investment program with a total value of more than PLN 1 billion. The program is aimed at strengthening Poland's position in European and global supply chains and supporting green transformation in the TSL industry. The program assumes, among other things, development based on the implementation of both its own warehouse projects and activity in the market of leasing warehouse space with a high standard of environmentally friendly solutions.

The know-how and international experience of our experts will be available to local companies.

We have already implemented the first version of our strategy in this area, and many of the solutions applied in the facilities are appreciated by tenants, not only for environmental reasons, but also for cost optimization." - says Jakub Rzeżuchowski LCube Senior Leasing Manager.

The warehouse where DSV will lease its space has been awarded a BREEAM certificate at the very good level. The entire facility features LED lighting and a sewage system fault detection system with the ability to automatically shut off the water supply, among other features. Insect boxes, bicycle shelters and electric car charging stations have been prepared for the park. The roof, in turn, has been equipped with a deflection monitoring system and has been further reinforced to allow the installation of a photovoltaic system.

So far, lease agreements at LCube Rzeszów Airport have been signed by frozen products distributor Specjał Group, for which cold storage and freezer rooms have been prepared, as well as online drugstore Cocolita and e-commerce-related company Kartony24, which provides dedicated packaging for e-commerce, among others.

LCube is pursuing a strategy of building a diversified portfolio that will range from smaller facilities (around 10,000 sqm) to medium-sized warehouses (50,000 sqm) to traditional big box logistics parks (over 100,000 sqm). In addition to successfully acquiring new projects, the developer wants the company's hallmarks to be such activities as focusing on the needs of tenants and implementing a sustainable development strategy. As the developer points out, all facilities built by LCube will be BREEAM-certified and rely on green and energy-efficient solutions, and the company has its own ESG strategy.
