Notino leased space in MDC2 Park Lodz South

MDC2 Park Łódź South consists of two distribution and logistics buildings with a planned total GLA of more than 80,000 sqm. The project is located in Głuchów - 19 km south of the border of Łódź, and has direct access to the Tuszyn junction. The A1 highway is a major transportation route running from Poland's northern to southern border. The A2 highway and the S8 expressway also run close to Lodz. In addition, an extension of the S14 road has already been planned, which will connect at the Emilia junction with the A2 highway and at the Róża junction with the S8 expressway. This gives the facility's tenants excellent logistical opportunities in terms of distribution to the entire country.

In addition, an unquestionable advantage of the location near Łódź is access to a qualified workforce comprising, according to a Randstad survey, more than 43,000 employees living in the eastern Lodz district in an area just 15 minutes from MDC2 Park Łódź South. The area within a 60-minute radius, on the other hand, is inhabited by nearly 896,000 residents who strengthen the human resource potential of the site. Dedicated transportation will be provided for employees commuting from this zone to the facility.

The developer of the project is MDC2. The project is being developed in partnership with Fortress Real Estate Investments Limited (Fortress), a company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) that owns, manages and develops commercial properties. Fortress is the owner and financing partner for the development.

Notino's leased building will be customized to accommodate the storage and distribution of the tenant's wide range of products.

Notino is the largest online perfume and cosmetics store in Europe. It offers a selection of 100,000 unique products from 2,500 global and local brands. Last year alone, the company sold 100 million items. Tying up with MDC2 Park Łódź South, Notino plans to distribute cosmetics, perfumes and over-the-counter drugs from this location.

At MDC2 Park Łódź South, the roofs will be adapted for the installation of photovoltaic panels, increased wall insulation will be used, LED lighting will be installed, and a rainwater retention system will be installed. The developer envisions chargers for electric vehicles. 95% of the building materials used in the project will be recyclable. The building will have a higher-than-standard 12-meter height. Surrounding both buildings will be biologically diverse green areas. Also planned for the MDC2 Park Łódź South area is the Rest & Move zone, an innovative concept on the Polish market for warehouse park surroundings that promotes a healthy lifestyle and improves working conditions for all users of the developer's warehouse facilities.
