Panattoni has commenced the construction of Maxcess's main European manufacturing facility in Łubowo

Panattoni, the most active industrial real estate developer in the world, has begun the construction of a tailor-made manufacturing facility for Maxcess - a global leader in innovative products and services for automated web handling applications for converting lines. The project will allow for the relocation of the existing facility and more than double the employment. It will also serve as the main facility for the company's European operations.

The ceremonial laying of the foundation stone took place on October 16, 2023. Representatives from Maxcess - Alexander Haid, General Manager Maxcess Europe, Panattoni BTS - Marek Foryński, BTS Managing Director, and local authorities - Andrzej Łozowski, Mayor of Łubowo participated in the event. The project is being carried out in the newly established economic zone in the Łubowo Municipality, with its completion planned for the end of February 2024.

The investment by the Panattoni BTS division will allow for the relocation of the existing facility, an increase in production capacity, and an employment rise from 160 to up to 350 individuals. The new facility will serve as the main manufacturing plant for the company in Europe and aligns perfectly with the company's vision for development and innovation. Additionally, centralizing the company's operations under one roof will provide a strategic advantage and streamline processes such as Winding, Guiding, Precision Rolls, Slitting, and exporting its products within Europe and globally. The land on which the main European manufacturing facility of Maxcess is being established allows for the expansion of the facility in the future.

The developer will construct a facility covering around 13.000 square meters, where products for converting lines will be manufactured, among other things. As part of the investment, Maxcess plans further technological development, modernization of machines, equipment, and software. The new facility will also align well with the company's aspirations to make its processes more environmentally friendly. Panattoni will prepare the investment for the installation of photovoltaic panels and will create green areas within the facility. The developer plans to obtain the BREEAM environmental certification at the Excellent level.

The smooth initiation of construction in Łubowo results from good cooperation between both companies. Bartłomiej Adamczyk, Technical Development Senior Manager at Panattoni BTS, summarized: “Although construction has just begun, it is a summary of a fruitful, albeit also labor-intensive, process of preparations, obtaining permits, and a demanding but effective tender for the purchase of land. Although the construction process will take place mostly in winter, the support from the client guarantees that the implementation will proceed very smoothly.”
