SEGRO has signed another agreement with TVM Transport & Logistics, this time to lease a unique configuration of warehouse space in SEGRO Park Wroclaw, Targowa.
The cooperation between the two companies has been ongoing since 2022, when TVM Transport & Logistics leased approximately 2,500 sq m of warehouse space at SEGRO Park Tychy, Strefowa. The favourable experience has now led the transport services company to decide to lease almost 1,600 sq m of non-standard warehouse space in Wrocław.
Despite its small size, the contracted space provides access to as many as twelve ramps and one zero-gate, which is unique in large-area buildings and allows the customer to freely perform a large number of loading and unloading operations. For the company, which concentrates its fleet mainly in Central European countries, the warehouse will be the eighth transhipment point on the European map and will be used to handle both vans and trucks.
As the building's owner and manager, SEGRO controls and takes care of the technical aspects on an ongoing basis, safeguarding the continuity of processes, while the well-organised office and staff area guarantees a high level of working comfort. The park has 24-hour security, an access control system and innovative solutions such as automatic licence plate reading. Fire safeguards ensure that cargo entrusted to the company is adequately protected and meets TVM safety standards.
The excellent location of SEGRO Park Wrocław, Targowa enables quick and convenient access to the S8 expressway and the A4 motorway, which are part of the Trans-European Transport Network. This will increase the potential and speed of handling orders carried out by TVM.
"The development of transhipment infrastructure is one of the elements of our company's business strategy. The location of the warehouse is important for us, as we handle many transport orders on a daily basis in the Wrocław area. The new point will develop the network of fixed transport lines, which will improve the flow of cargo and enhance the quality of our services. In addition, the new warehouse will shorten Transit Time to our southern and western neighbours and make our offering more flexible. The location of the warehouse brings us closer to the Czech capital, which is an important area for us in terms of the number of transport orders executed. As Lower Silesia is saturated with investments by German companies, the transport demand towards the west is also significant." - comments Adam Bilka, Vice President of TVM Transport & Logistics.
Both TVM and SEGRO are committed to sustainability. In line with SEGRO's Responsible SEGRO programme, the building incorporates solutions to, among other things, support low carbon development. TVM Transport & Logistics uses LED lighting and also has access to electric vehicle charging stations. The coherent strategy in terms of environmental care is part of the long-term cooperation between the two companies.
