ANTRA sets its sights on Chorzów and Prologis Essentials
ANTRA is a Polish company that has been in existence for 30 years. As a leader in the industry, it offers comprehensive supplies of freight car components to rolling stock manufacturers, rolling stock repair plants and rail carriers located throughout Europe and beyond. It also sells and supplies forgings and castings according to individual requirements for customers in other industries including agriculture, mining and engineering.
In connection with the development of its offer for the rolling stock market, ANTRA has decided to lease nearly 4,000 square meters of warehouse space in building DC4B at Prologis Park Chorzow. The lease was concluded for three years, with an option to extend.
"This is the first time in the company's 30-year history that we have decided to lease warehouse space from a developer. We received a comprehensive offer for the lease of a warehouse, including equipment with high-bay racks and forklifts. The facility met our expectations in terms of location, square meters and warehouse layout. We were also persuaded to conclude the contract by the ease of communication with Prologis representatives and, above all, by the clear partnership agreement," said Grymel Łukasz President of ANTRA Sp. z o.o.
Equipping the warehouse right away
It is very important for customers to start operations in a new location quickly. That's why, as part of Prologis Essentials, the developer is offering comprehensive warehouse solutions for sustainable logistics, in the areas of operations, electromobility, energy management and, soon, employees. ANTRA has decided to purchase used racks and new forklifts. In addition, it is considering the purchase of cleaning machines and polymer safety barriers.
"The Prologis Essentials service is a new quality in the market of warehouse space developers. We are the first to offer customers much more than renting a warehouse or office. We can hand over a turnkey finished facility, ready to perform its tasks from the first day of operations. This is just the beginning of our cooperation with ANTRA, and we have already completed two projects together under Prologis Essentials in Poland - thank you for your trust," said Michal Królik, Essentials Solutions Manager at Prologis.
Prologis Park Chorzów is the largest logistics center in the Silesian region. The complex consists of five warehouse and office buildings with a total area of 251,000 square meters. One of its greatest assets is its location in the vicinity of major transportation routes, near the intersection of Poland's two largest international transport corridors (the A4 east-west and A1 north-south highways). The complex lies on the western outskirts of Katowice and is connected to the A4 highway, which runs right next to it.
