Panattoni launches construction work on a 15,000 sqm BTO center for E.G.O.'s Polish site

Panattoni has begun construction work on a new Built To Own (BTO) center for the E.G.O.-Group (E.G.O.), one of the world’s leading suppliers for household manufacturers. The construction of the manufacturing plant is to start in July this year and the completion is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.

The core values summed up in the words “made by E.G.O.” are not only found in your stove, but also in washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, and many other household appliances and commercial machines. The company has been operating in Poland since 2005 and it has one of Poland’s largest household appliance components factories in Łódź. Now the complex is to be extended with a production plant on Mahoniowa Street.

“We offered E.G.O. a property in a superb location near to its current operations base as well as its key business partners. At the same time this is also a location with excellent options for commuting to work. The building will be tailored to E.G.O.’s manufacturing processes and our teams are working closely together to develop the new plant to allow the company to grow quickly in Łódź. The site also has the space for a possible future expansion,” - stated Katarzyna Kujawiak, Development Director at Panattoni.

The location, only 8 km from the center of Łódź, provides good communications, allowing the factory not only to use the road infrastructure but also giving it access to skilled labour. The centre can easily be reached both by car and public transport while only being 4 km from the A1 motorway. Being close to its customer base, the location is unique from E.G.O.’s perspective. Furthermore, it would create possible business synergies within Łódź itself.

The BTO centre to be built for E.G.O. in Łódź is another development that exemplifies Panattoni’s long-term strategy which is to supply the leading companies on the market with modern tailor-made manufacturing space. “Our project in Łódź is one of our top priorities. We are glad to be able to support the growth of industry in this region adding to the rapid economic growth,” - added Katarzyna Kujawiak.

In the Łódź region, Panattoni has already handed almost 2.1 mln sqm of warehouse and manufacturing space over for use. Among the developer’s most important projects can be found built-to-suit centres, multi-tenant industrial parks and City Logistics developments. Łódź is home to many of Panattoni’s clients including Amazon, BSH, OBI, RR Donnelley, Media Expert, Whirlpool, Flextronics and Smyk. The Central European Logistics Hub on Jędrzejowska Street has become one of the fastest growing industrial complexes in Europe with an area of over 630,000 sqm.
