7R, a developer specializing in the construction of high-quality warehouses, has appointed a "Green Team". A group of several experts from various fields will be responsible for developing and implementing ecological solutions. The goal is to build a zero-emission warehouse.
The green team includes property managers, engineers, project managers, development experts, and architects.
The "Green Team" is headed by Piotr Miodek, Head of Construction & Engineering and Head of Sustainability at 7R.
Piotr Miodek is an experienced manager associated with the logistics industry for over 12 years. He is an expert in creating and implementing ESG strategies. He advises tenants on the use of effective pro-ecological solutions that increase the operational and cost efficiency of buildings. He is also responsible for facilities implemented in the BTS formula.
- Care for the environment and limiting our impact on climate change is one of the most important elements shaping our future. Alongside the development of artificial intelligence, investments in ESG projects are key today. That is why at 7R we decided that they will set the direction of our development. Our goal is to create a functional zero-emission building – says
Tomasz Lubowiecki, CEO and founder of 7R.The strength of the "Green Team" at 7R lies in the people who create it. They are a dozen or so experts in their fields who also have passions related to ecology; among them are, among others, a beekeeper, a builder of a steam-gas engine, an expert with 40 years of experience in construction, a chemist by education, and a vegan.
The experts have been divided into working groups that analyze and set new directions for development in areas such as: BREEAM, the European Green Deal, taxonomy, the use of hydrogen, and the specification of a zero-emission warehouse taking into account embodied and operational carbon footprint.
- We wanted enthusiasts to join the green team, people who are close to ecology, who are interested in climate change. Building such a diverse team allows us to analyze new technological solutions in every respect, both technical and functional. This gives us the opportunity to introduce new solutions faster and to look for innovations. It will enable us to achieve our ambitious climate goals – says
Piotr Miodek. As part of the green team, 7R will create energy-efficient warehouses that will offer real savings to tenants and future owners. All planned projects are verified for maximum reduction of the carbon footprint. In the coming years, 7R plans several projects with a carbon footprint 50 percent lower than standard buildings built in 2021.
At the same time, 7R has implemented a strategy that is intended to allow for the introduction of competitively priced zero-emission warehouses to the market by 2026. In addition, 7R will publish another ESG report later this year.
