7R invests in smart roofs

7R is implementing a new technology for managing flat roof risks. The „Smart Roof” platform, developed by Sense Monitoring, helps prevent roof overloading by alerting the building manager in advance of potential danger. 7R will apply the system in the 7R Park Gdańsk II logistics complex in Kowale, where the monitored roof will eventually cover over 60,000 sqm of modern warehouse space.

Flat roofs of industrial and warehouse properties are exposed to changing weather conditions, such as heavy rain or hail. To be able to fully eliminate risks resulting from potential overloading, Sense Monitoring has developed a web tool that combines key functionalities for managing large-area roofs.

"We want to provide our clients with the best solutions on the market for the maintenance of large-area buildings. In current times, when climate change often triggers extreme weather events, the ability to manage properties agilely and remotely is gaining importance. We are convinced that the technology from Sense Monitoring will work perfectly. Access to data crucial for the safety of employees and material assets stored in the building will ensure our tenants comfort in conducting their daily operations. We, in turn, will be able to remotely monitor the situation to react in advance and effectively manage our entire network of buildings" - says Maciej Krawiecki, Head of Leasing at 7R.

The Smart Roof platform is a PropTech solution responding to the needs of warehouse properties. It collects, analyzes, and archives data 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In case of danger, it notifies the user about the need to take safety measures in a given building.
