7R is building a BTS facility for Aluprof in Silesia

The project also allows for full optimization of logistics processes. The warehouse for Aluprof SA will be adapted, among other things, to strict loading and unloading rules for aluminum elements, which must be protected from atmospheric conditions. The construction will include an office section of approximately 500 sqm and a warehouse-production section of nearly 20,000 sqm.

This is an important undertaking in our logistics and warehouse system. The investment is designed not only to fit into the existing raw material and finished product flow model but also to create good and safe working conditions. We are reaching for bold solutions, such as a crane system integrated with the hall's roof structure, thereby eliminating all columns and supports, achieving a loading zone with high flexibility and freedom in designing transport tasks. The same applies to the unloading zones, which receive a dedicated handling zone. The goal of our investment is to utilize available technological solutions in such a way that the processes carried out encounter the fewest possible architectural or equipment barriers. It is also worth mentioning the high bar set in terms of meeting all environmental and fire safety standards. In this regard, this facility will be our benchmark for future investments - says Aleksander Mączko, Warehouse Team Manager at Aluprof SA.

Aluprof SA, which has over 70 years of experience in the industry and employs a total of over 2,300 people, will open its fifth plant in the country in Międzyrzecz. The facility will primarily serve to prepare semi-finished products for the production of windows and doors, as well as for storing aluminum profiles and components. The project includes a specialized unloading airlock connected to the warehouse hall, enabling efficient and safe unloading of long aluminum stock, as well as a multifunctional loading zone inside the building. Thanks to this, key logistics processes will be fully safe for the type of product stored. Automatic warehouse systems will also be used to support the warehouse, streamlining storage and picking processes.

At 7R, we specialize in building investments in line with the preferences of specific clients. We already have many completed projects in this formula in our portfolio, and others are at the construction or planning stage. Cooperation in the BTS formula allows us to identify sensitive elements of the tenant's business and adapt the facility to the nature of production at an early stage of development work. In the case of the project for Aluprof SA, due to the specificity of operations and the non-standard storage method, the fire protection system was individually designed for the needs of future operations in the building. Additionally, the project in Międzyrzecz includes an unloading airlock as an integral part of the warehouse, larger-than-standard entrance gates for delivery vehicles, and an epoxy-coated floor - says Maciej Krawiecki, Head of Leasing at 7R.

A number of pro-ecological solutions will also be implemented in the new facility for Aluprof SA. Among other things, a photovoltaic installation will appear on the building, which will increase the energy efficiency of the investment. The project will also be subject to BREEAM certification.
