7R Park Wrocław West II with its own energy storage

7R will equip 7R Park Wrocław West II with an energy storage system. This innovative solution, unprecedented in facilities of this type, will allow for energy storage and thus significantly reduce the carbon footprint.

Construction of 7R Park Wrocław West II is underway, a low-emission 7R investment implemented in line with the developer's decarbonization strategy. Currently, work is ongoing on the building envelope and roof insulation. The general contractor is Kajima Poland, which places great importance on environmental protection during construction.
In the case of 7R Park Wrocław West II, the developer decided to use an innovative solution. An energy storage system will be installed in the building, which will allow for the accumulation of electricity generated by photovoltaic panels.

– This is a solution unprecedented in facilities of this type. It will allow for the storage of green energy from the PV system generated at peak production. It can be used at a time of lower solar energy production and simultaneously higher electricity demand in the building. The energy storage has a capacity of 200 kWh – explains Piotr Miodek, Head of Construction & Sustainability at 7R.

Additionally, 7R Park Wrocław West II will ultimately be equipped with further innovative solutions, helping to achieve a significant reduction in the building's operational emissions. In addition to heating and ventilation systems, with high-efficiency heat pumps and ventilation with heat recovery, the building will be additionally equipped with an advanced BMS control system, energy-saving LED lighting, and a photovoltaic installation allowing for the production of clean energy. All this will allow 7R to apply for BREEAM certification at the highest Outstanding level.

7R Park Wrocław West II is being built in Kąty Wrocławskie. The warehouse will have a direct connection to the A4 motorway (Kąty Wrocławskie junction). The pro-ecological solutions used in 7R Park Wrocław West II will allow for a reduction in operational CO2 emissions by over 50 percent compared to buildings constructed in accordance with technical conditions resulting from building law regulations.

The entire facility is already fully leased to Yusen Logistics. The tenant will occupy nearly 42,000 sqm of warehouse space and over 1,000 sqm of office space. The planned completion of construction work for 7R Park Wrocław West II is scheduled for the second quarter of 2024.
