7R Park Wrocław West II, the first warehouse from the 7R Green Saver line, achieved a score of 95.6 percent in the BREEAM International New Construction version 6 certification. This is the highest rating awarded to an industrial building in continental Europe. The result confirms the innovation of the warehouse's sustainable solutions, which were designed to maximize benefits for tenants and investors.
7R, a developer of high-quality warehouses, has thus strengthened its position as a leader in sustainable construction. BREEAM is one of the world's leading building environmental certification systems, and the Outstanding rating is its highest level, testifying to exemplary efficiency in terms of sustainable development. – Our warehouse achieved the highest score in this category in continental Europe. This underscores 7R's commitment to building environmentally friendly, future-proof facilities that set new standards in the industry. The 7R Green Saver line attracts international tenants and investors who are increasingly looking for modern facilities of this type – adds Michał Białas, Co-CEO 7R.
This success was possible thanks to 7R's long-term sustainable development strategy and confirms the effectiveness of the 7R Green Saver warehouse concept, which was created as a result. – Thanks to the technical solutions applied, buildings in this line achieve a minimum 50-percent reduction in operational CO2 emissions and a 50-percent reduction in primary energy demand, compared to buildings constructed in accordance with Polish technical conditions. This generates significant savings in operating costs for the tenant and increases the value of the investment. The BREEAM Outstanding certificate is the culmination of our efforts – explains Piotr Miodek, Head of Construction & Sustainability 7R.
The 7R Green Saver facility stood out in the field of sustainable construction, scoring 100 percent of points in the BREEAM categories regarding energy efficiency and water management. – This was achieved, among other things, by using high-efficiency air-source heat pumps, a photovoltaic installation that will work with its own energy storage, and thanks to advanced lighting control, also via an astronomical clock. Water-saving solutions include a fire pump cooling system with recirculation, greywater recovery, as well as simple solutions such as metering irrigation points and installing aerators in taps – said Maciej Runkiewicz, CEO Kajima Poland, the general contractor of the industrial park.
The BREEAM certification process for 7R Park Wrocław West II was conducted by JWA, an accredited BREEAM assessor.
