AWILUX finished 2020 with a record turnover exceeding 100 million PLN and a ready plan for the expansion of its production hall. The first activities related to the investment began during the period between the holidays.
The Leszno-based manufacturer of premium window and door joinery, AWILUX, sets high goals for itself and achieves them through diligent work and the constant development of all departments. One of the company's resolutions for the new year is to enlarge the production hall and expand the machine park. The plant expansion plan also includes a social and office area due to the increase in employment. Late last summer, AWILUX purchased a plot of land adjacent to the plant.
"Our latest investment, which is a priority for 2021, involves the expansion of the plant, in particular the production area for the aluminum window and door production department and additional roofed storage space, which will serve as a warehouse for finished products in the future. The first works started between the holidays and the beginning of the new year. During this time, the existing fence was dismantled, the top layer of humus was removed, and the first geodetic works were carried out. A crew of several people works on the construction site every day, thanks to which the outlines of the new hall and additional storage yards are already visible" – says
Marek Sprengel, CEO of AWILUX.The new total "under-roof" area is an additional 6000 sqm. About half of this will be occupied by an additional production hall, and the remaining area will be used for picking and preparing shipments as well as for short-term storage of finished products, thus protecting them from the influence of adverse weather conditions. Aluminum solutions will be assembled in the production part, which responds to the growing demand of customers and also influences AWILUX's decisions to hire new employees and invest in a modern machine park.
The second stage of AWILUX's investment activities involves implementing a plan for the development, optimization, and automation of the PVC joinery production line. As Marek Sprengel says, purchases of new machines are also planned for this part of the plant, including those for sorting glass and frames, as well as other solutions that will increase the efficiency of the production line.
The contract with the general contractor provides for the completion of construction works at the end of July 2021. The transfer of production to the new hall is scheduled to take place during the holiday period, when the production department has its annual vacation break.
