Production and warehouse space developer Hillwood Polska has signed credit agreements this year with Bank Pekao S.A. for the construction of three warehouse parks: in Częstochowa, near Rawicz, and in Łazy near Warsaw, for a total amount of over 89 million euros.
Hillwood Polska and Bank Pekao share a long-term, fruitful cooperation. Last year alone, the bank provided a loan to finance six Hillwood investments, for a total amount of 155.4 million euros, financing, among others, projects in Łyszkowice, Łódź, and Słubice.
The projects financed this year will deliver a total of over 144,000 sqm of modern warehouse space to the market. As part of its investments, Hillwood will also build the appropriate road infrastructure.
All logistics parks are certified under the BREEAM system as a commitment to sustainable construction and care for the natural environment. The Hillwood Częstochowa Miasto project has already received BREEAM certification at the Excellent level.
– We are pleased with the cooperation with our banking partner. We highly appreciate the professional service at every stage, primarily the efficient course of financing parameter negotiations, quick credit decision-making, and the effective process of negotiating credit documentation – says Hubert Michalak, President of the Management Board of Hillwood Polska.
– With the projects in Łazy, Częstochowa, and Rawicz, we have a total of 19 Hillwood investments financed by Bank Pekao. This shows what an important and strategic partner the Hillwood Group is for Pekao. As in the case of other logistics centers, Hillwood Częstochowa Miasto combines an excellent location with the highest ESG standards confirmed by a BREEAM certificate, and thus fits perfectly into the strategy of Bank Pekao – says Łukasz Białecki, Director of the Commercial Real Estate Financing Office at Bank Pekao.
In the process of financing the three projects, Bank Pekao S.A. was supported by the team of the Warsaw office of the law firm CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang, while the law firm Clifford Chance provided support to Hillwood.
