CBRE GI buys across the Oder

CBRE Global Investors, on behalf of Zurich Insurance Group Germany, has purchased the newly built Airpark Berlin logistics park from Patrizia. The park has a total area of over 158,500 sqm.

Airpark Berlin consists of nearly 71,700 sqm of warehouse space, over 5,500 sqm of mezzanine space, and nearly 6,000 sqm of office space. The facility was completed in three stages. The first works began in 2016, and the construction of the final phase started in February 2020. In this stage, four new buildings will be constructed, each with an area of 5,000 sqm, built speculatively. The park is nearly 94 percent leased.

This transaction follows significant investments in European logistics made by CBRE Global Investors, totaling approximately 715 million euros across 29 transactions in nine countries this year.

CBRE Global Investors was supported in the transaction by CBRE, Drees & Sommer, and Linklaters. The seller was advised by BNP Paribas Real Estate and Ernst & Young.
