CEVA Logistics acquires Cargex

CEVA Logistics has announced the signing of an agreement to acquire 100 percent of the shares of Cargex S.A., an international expert in freight forwarding and logistics services for perishable goods, based in Bogota, Colombia. CEVA continues its activities as part of its global strategic development plan, and the acquisition of Cargex strengthens the company's position in Latin America, with a particular focus on the growing market for perishable goods.

At the time of closing this transaction, CEVA will also take control of the Cargex subsidiary, the company Agencias de Aduanas Aduanamos S.A.

Cargex has over 25 years of experience, and its main goal is to handle the export of perishable goods. It has branches in Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena, Buenaventura and Santa Marta. Over the years, Cargex and Aduanamos have become leaders in handling perishable products thanks to their extensive infrastructure, experience and relationships, as well as a competent, highly qualified team.

CEVA Logistics, after acquiring these two companies, will become a leading player in the logistics services market for perishable goods in Colombia. The CEO of Cargex, Pablo Torres, will join CEVA Logistics as the director of perishable goods in Colombia and Ecuador.
