Chinese e-commerce giant chooses Panattoni Park Nadarzyn

Panattoni has leased over 15,100 sq m of space to JD.com in the newly completed Panattoni Park Nadarzyn. The developer also completed the building's environmental certification process using the BREEAM International New Construction method and achieved an Excellent rating. With a score of 78.4 percent, the investment has become the most ecological industrial facility in Poland. The new JD.com logistics center near Warsaw will be the company's second in Poland and third in Europe.

JD.com is an e-commerce platform that has over 300 million customers in China. It is the largest retailer in the country, both online and offline, and the third-largest internet company in the world by revenue. It is famous for its highly developed logistics network - the company's warehouse space in Asia exceeds 23 million sq m. This enables the fulfillment of most orders on the same day they are placed, including through a network of drones or autonomous unmanned vehicles. JD.com, headquartered in Beijing, has offices around the world, including in New York, Tokyo, and a research and development center in Silicon Valley.

The company works closely with both domestic and leading international brands to provide consumers with fresh food, clothing, household goods, baby products, and much more. It specializes in the sale of electronic devices. And it is to them that the warehouse in Nadarzyn is dedicated.

„The Chinese tycoon is preparing to expand its operations on the Old Continent. Hence, the choice of location was not accidental. It was decided by the excellent location of our country in the center of Europe and an excellent network of road, rail, and air connections with other countries. This is our first investment with JD.com and I am convinced that the company also appreciated all our previous projects for e-commerce throughout Europe. If the Chinese giant realizes its expansion plans, such centers will also begin to appear in other parts of our continent” – says Marek Dobrzycki, Managing Director at Panattoni.

Panattoni Park Nadarzyn is a modern industrial facility with an area of 54,000 sq m. JD International Logistics will occupy over 15,100 sq m in it, mainly for warehousing processes. The park includes top-quality industrial and office space adapted to the requirements of clients from many industries. The hall has modern loading docks, ground-level gates, and wide maneuvering areas.

The park has undergone environmental certification using the BREEAM International New Construction method at the „Excellent” level. The investment achieved a score of 78.4 percent. This is currently the highest score among all warehouse and industrial buildings certified in Poland. The park stands out in the area of effective water and energy management, as well as excellent attention to comfort and a friendly workplace for all users. Wellbeing solutions include both the interior of the building and outdoor areas – where green relaxation zones are equipped with, among other things, ecological furniture made from wind turbines. In this way, Panattoni supports the upcycling of infrastructure used for green energy production.

The advantage of the investment is its great location near Warsaw. The facility is located directly next to the S8 expressway – between the „Siestrzeń” and „Młochów” junctions - which creates optimal conditions for distribution to the Central Polish market, as well as the whole of Europe. It is 25 km from here to the center of the capital, and 28 km to the Okęcie airport.
