Construction begins for BestSecret
Panattoni, the leader of the industrial real estate market in Europe, has begun construction in Sulechów of nearly 90,000 sq m for BestSecret – a leading European online shopping club with luxury fashion at lower prices. The cornerstone laying ceremony took place on September 15, and was attended by, among others, Wojciech Sołtys, Mayor of Sulechów, as well as representatives of BestSecret and Panattoni. A trusted partner for e-commerce. Of the approx. 17 million sq m delivered by Panattoni in Europe, nearly 1/3 was completed for the needs of the dynamically growing e-commerce sector. Now, the developer has started construction of Panattoni Park Sulechów III, where the entire area - 88,500 sq m, with the possibility of expansion by another 42,000 – has been leased by BestSecret. The online store offers premium and luxury fashion at low prices, and one can find products from about 3,000 brands there. The company delivers goods to 27 countries in Europe, and the location in Sulechów will be a key link in the company's supply chain. From here, BestSecret will serve all its markets, simultaneously becoming an employer for a significant number of people in the region.
- Currently, over 30 percent of industrial facilities are intended for the e-commerce sector, and Panattoni, as a market leader, is at the forefront and setting trends in this area. Our experience and capabilities translate into subsequent projects, such as the started construction of the facility for BestSecret, which may be another client in the future leasing over 100,000 sq m in the region. Western Poland, and especially the Lubusz Voivodeship, once again confirms its potential for serving international enterprises, and I am sure that many more cornerstones await us in the near future right in the western border region. In addition to warehouse and distribution space, the facility will also include offices, which will occupy over 10,500 sq m. The developer will also prepare the area for the use of multi-level shelving (Pick Towers) and will ensure the heightening of part of the building. The investment will undergo BREEAM certification at the Excellent level.
- The new investment in Sulechów is primarily a venture allowing the BestSecret company to develop its brand, and the residents of the municipality to find employment. I am convinced that many residents of Sulechów will find work here, as well as residents of neighboring municipalities who until now have been forced to commute many kilometers to their workplaces. A key advantage of Sulechów is its proximity to the border with Germany, which is just over an hour's drive from the facility under construction. Furthermore, 30 minutes separates the town from the regional capital – Zielona Góra – which is an important asset in the context of access to employees. Less than 7 km from the investment runs the S3 road, running along the western border, and 11 km from the facility is the Zielona Góra-Babimost Airport.
