Dekpol Budownictwo is constructing the first factory in Poland for the Korean company POSCO International Poland E-Mobility. The facility is being built within the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone „Invest-Park”.
The technology of POSCO International Poland E-Mobility is used by the majority of electric vehicles produced by global manufacturers (including Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Corp). The factory in Brzeg (Opole Voivodeship) will be a response to the rapid development of this automotive sector – the plant is planned to produce components for electric cars. The facility will reach a target area of 21,000 sqm.
The construction process is proceeding according to plan; structural work on the main hall and the implementation of sanitary and electrical networks have been completed.
– Despite the weather difficulties in September in the Opole Voivodeship, work is progressing according to the schedule. The implementation team is making every effort to ensure this demanding project is completed according to the highest quality standards – says Mariusz Niewiadomski, Operations Director, Member of the Management Board of Dekpol Budownictwo.
The factory is being built on a 10-hectare plot. The start of mass production is scheduled for the second half of 2025. The first order for the production of drive motor cores has already been placed by the company Hyundai-Kia Motors.
