Construction of Arvato distribution center in Stryków begins

Arvato Supply Chain Solutions has begun the expansion of its distribution center in Stryków. An additional 15,000 sqm is to be provided to H&M Group. Both companies have been cooperating in Poland since 2018, and are now extending their partnership for the coming years. The expansion of cooperation results from the need to increase the potential of logistics processes in the Eastern Europe region.

"We are pleased to continue and expand our fruitful cooperation with H&M Group" – said Lidia Ratajczak-Kluck, President of the Management Board at Arvato Supply Chain Solutions in Poland - "A key factor for the client is the high quality level of our services, which is focused on the consumer."

The extension of the contract is also associated with the expansion of the distribution center in Stryków, which – according to the schedule – should be completed within half a year. The total area of the logistics center, together with the mezzanine, will then amount to 75,000 sqm. Next, the high-bay warehouse will be completed, and the conveyor belt system will be extended to a total of over 3.5 km. Conveyor belts are part of the infrastructure necessary to ensure automated processes in e-commerce logistics, which also include special sorter systems, self-driving industrial trucks, the possibility of dynamic warehouse replenishment, and a modern ERP SAP S4/HANA system. Along with the expansion of the logistics center in Stryków, Arvato Supply Chain Solutions is also creating new jobs.

"The speed and flexibility of the supply chain are very important, and this venture will contribute to increasing the attractiveness of our offer for customers" - says Michael Schulz, Regional Logistics Manager East Europe at H&M Group - "With a partner like Arvato Supply Chain Solutions, we are well prepared to meet the expectations of an ever-growing customer base from Eastern Europe, also in the future."
