Construction of Panattoni Park Gdańsk City Airport begins

Panattoni is starting a new investment in the Pomeranian Voivodeship – Panattoni Park Gdańsk City Airport. The project is being carried out speculatively and includes the construction of two modern distribution halls with a total area of over 18,400 sq m.

The location in the immediate vicinity of the Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport and near the Tricity Bypass (3 km) ensures excellent connections to local and international transport infrastructure. It is approximately 20 km from the seaport and the Deepwater Container Terminal Baltic Hub, and only 13 km from the city center. Panattoni Park Gdańsk City Airport will consist of halls with areas of 14,071 sq m and 4,351 sq m.

– „Due to the extensive and constantly developing infrastructure, Gdańsk is very attractive for business and maintains significant demand for industrial space. This is due, among other things, to the proximity of one of the largest seaports in Europe, but in the case of our new investment, the proximity of the airport also plays a special role. Together with the other advantages of the location, this creates a unique combination of communication opportunities for logistics operations” – explains Martyna Sochaczewska, Leasing Director at Panattoni, and adds: – „So far, we have completed nearly 700,000 sq m of modern industrial space on the Tricity market, and Panattoni Park Gdańsk City Airport is our next park, which will not only fully benefit from its excellent location but also support the development of the entire region – it will contribute to creating new jobs and strengthening the potential of the Tricity as an important logistics hub on the map of the continent”.

Panattoni Park Gdańsk City Airport will undergo BREEAM environmental certification at the Excellent level, which will confirm compliance with the highest standards of sustainable development. As part of the investment, modern technologies aimed at saving energy and water will be used, as well as solutions improving user wellbeing, such as increased access to natural light and specially designed office spaces, which are intended to ensure thermal comfort, appropriate acoustics, and air quality.

Development in the Tricity. Panattoni is successively expanding its offer in the Tricity area. It is one of the strongest metropolitan areas in Poland and Europe, strategically located at the intersection of trade routes connecting Scandinavia with Southern Europe and Poland with the Baltic states. The region is home to many companies from various industries, which is undoubtedly influenced by the proximity of the largest seaport in Poland and at the same time the largest container port on the Baltic Sea – in 2023, 81 million tons of cargo were handled there (17 percent more than the year before). In turn, the Gdańsk airport handled a near-record number of passengers last year – over 5.9 million, and the mass of cargo shipments exceeded 11,000 tons (13 percent more than the year before).
