November 9, 2022 – The main user of the final building currently under construction as part of the GLP logistics park in Modlniczka near Kraków will be Cummins. The warehouse will be ready in the spring of next year. GLP is a leading international company specializing in investments in logistics real estate, digital infrastructure, and renewable energy.
GLP Kraków Airport Logistics Centre features 174,000 sqm of space dedicated to logistics and light manufacturing. In the newly constructed building, which will be completed in May 2023, 2,500 sqm is still available for lease. The park is located approximately 300 meters from the S52 expressway junction of the Kraków ring road, just 1 km from the city border and 4 km from Kraków-Balice Airport.
In a few months, a branch of Cummins, which provides after-sales support for all products powered by the brand's engines, will join the group of users of GLP's largest investment in the Małopolska region. Cummins provides solutions for, among others, specialized vehicles and mission-critical applications, such as power generators. Cummins will locate a 3,500 sqm Engine Rebuild Center at GLP Kraków Airport Logistics Centre. The company will also use 940 sqm of office space.
The Engine Rebuild Center will offer strategic support across all market segments to Cummins customers in the region. It will provide greater and better production capabilities, as well as increase the company's reach in Europe. The 10 million dollar investment will open at the end of 2023, becoming an integral part of the Cummins Poland base and the company's main operational facility in Poland, with a warehouse, workshops, and an office. Employees will move to the new facility, which is located 7 kilometers from the one currently in use. The company also plans to increase employment.
Thanks to its proximity to Kraków, our park in Modlniczka is an excellent solution for companies that combine production or service activities with office work or customer service. The latest warehouse was designed in close cooperation with the main user, taking into account the specific requirements of Cummins, so that its staff, regardless of the type of tasks performed, will benefit from an optimal work environment – says Artur Szczepaniak, Senior Technical Development Manager at GLP.
