Cornerstone laid for new warehouse for HAVI Logistics at MLP Poznań

A cornerstone laying ceremony took place at the MLP Poznań park for a new project being developed for HAVI Logistics. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the general contractor, the tenant, and the investor. The handover of the completed facility, offering 16,000 sqm of modern space, is planned for the beginning of the second half of 2024. The investment, the construction of which has been entrusted to WPIP Construction, will undergo BREEAM New Construction environmental certification at the Excellent level.

The MLP Poznań logistics center will expand with a new warehouse hall. Last Thursday, the ceremonial laying of the cornerstone took place. The new facility, dedicated to HAVI Logistics, a global company involved in innovation, optimization, and supply chain management for leading brands, will provide 16,000 sqm of modern space. Over 15,500 sqm will be designated for warehouse purposes, including freezers and cold storage. In turn, modern office and social spaces, planned on two levels, will occupy another 680 sqm of space.

Representatives of the general contractor, the tenant, and the investor participated in the cornerstone laying. MLP Group, the owner of the park in Poznań, was represented by President of the Management Board and CEO Radosław T. Krochta. On behalf of WPIP Construction, acting as the general contractor, the company's CEO Janusz Signetzki took part in the ceremony. The tenant was represented by Katarzyna Piątkowska, Managing Director of HAVI Logistics Sp. z o.o. Handover of the completed space for use is planned for the beginning of the second half of 2024.

– The new investment is being carried out for our long-term tenant. We are very pleased to expand our existing cooperation. We subject all newly built facilities to the BREEAM certification process. At the same time, we care about the comfort of the logistics park's users by implementing modern solutions that increase functionality and protect the natural environment. – The new HAVI Distribution Center in Poznań is an important step in the development of HAVI and our clients. The dedicated facility has been designed to ensure effective working conditions, which will have a positive impact on the quality of services provided. The location of the Center in Poznań will become a key element of the HAVI Logistics supply chain, enabling optimized and efficient logistics processes. It will not only be a warehouse but a comprehensive, modern, and above all, ecological space that will allow for the implementation of further projects of our sustainable development strategy – said Katarzyna Piątkowska, Managing Director of HAVI Logistics in Poland.

MLP Group is among the leaders in implementing sustainable development principles, setting the highest ecological standards in the logistics and industrial real estate industry. In accordance with the strategy, the facilities being built at MLP Poznań will undergo BREEAM New Construction environmental certification at the Excellent level. As part of the project, photovoltaic panels, heat pumps, and electric vehicle charging stations will be installed, among other things.

The MLP Poznań project is located in the town of Koninko, near the S11 expressway connecting Poznań with Katowice. The park is located approx. 16 km from the center of Poznań and 4 km from the A2 motorway. Ultimately, the investment will cover nearly 90,000 sqm of warehouse and production space, which will be built on an area of 20 ha.
