Dekpol Budownictwo will build a modern factory for RTE Poland

Dekpol Budownictwo will execute a contract covering the construction of a modern factory for the Portuguese bicycle manufacturer. The complex of industrial facilities in the Brześć Kujawski municipality will provide over 20,000 m2 of usable area on a 6.5-hectare plot. Approximately 18,000 m2 will consist of production rooms and technical areas. The remaining nearly 2,000 m2 of space will be designated for social and office purposes. As part of the complex, a unique warehouse will be erected, the height of which will exceed 30 meters.

Bicycles produced in the new factory will be delivered to RTE's business partner – the Decathlon store chain. The factory will make extensive use of Industry 4.0 solutions and will utilize state-of-the-art, automated, and environmentally friendly machines and equipment.

According to the investor's plans, in the initial stage of operations, 500,000 bicycles will be produced annually. The completion of this phase of the investment and the handover of the finished facility is planned for the turn of Q2 and Q3 2021. The RTE group is one of the largest European bicycle manufacturers in Europe. Locating another factory in Poland is the implementation of the Portuguese investor's development strategy. This was decided by the excellent location for export plans, Poland's economic stability, and high industrial culture.

"We are pleased that the collection of engineeringly advanced facilities that we have built for our clients will grow in just a few months by an industrial building with the height of a ten-story residential block. The new RTE Poland factory truly impresses us with its top-tier technical solutions and its scale. In addition to the unique format of the facility, our company will provide the investor with a reinforced industrial floor that will handle the intense traffic of high-speed and fully automated warehouse trucks" – emphasized Michał Skowron, CEO of Dekpol Budownictwo.

The Warsaw-based company Project Management, known not only for the industrial market, is responsible for the multi-disciplinary design, management, and technical supervision. Project Management is, among other things, conducting comprehensive technical supervision over the construction of the tallest building in the European Union – Varso Tower – which is part of a prestigious investment in the heart of the capital with an area of 230,000 m2.
