Dino Polska S.A., along with opening new stores, is accelerating warehouse investments. At the beginning of the month, the chain's fifth distribution center was opened, and yesterday the company decided to build two more.
Dino opened its latest Distribution Center on June 8 in Łobez (West Pomeranian Voivodeship). The facility has a total area of 47,000 square meters. It consists of a freezer, a cold store, temperature-controlled warehouses, a dry warehouse, and social and office areas along with accompanying technical infrastructure, internal roads, and parking spaces.
The Distribution Center in Łobez will supply Dino markets with fresh products every day of the week (except Sundays). The company strives to ensure that products on the shelves of Dino markets come as much as possible from Polish producers, while traveling the shortest possible distance to the Distribution Center, which is why the launch of the new warehouse in Łobez is also an opportunity to establish commercial cooperation with new regional producers.
Just two weeks later, the management board of Dino Polska S.A. made a decision to start the construction of two new distribution centers of the Company in the towns of Sieroniowice (Opole Voivodeship) and Sierpc (Masovian Voivodeship). The facilities will be similar to the Pomeranian warehouse – the planned area is 45,000 square meters, and it will include identical parts as in Łobez.
Estimated investment expenditures will amount to approximately 80 million PLN net per distribution center and will be financed from the own funds of Dino Polska S.A. and bank loans. The company expects that the construction of both distribution centers will be completed in 2021.
Dino is a nationwide chain of medium-sized grocery supermarkets located near customers' places of residence. Dino is one of the fastest-growing chains in the entire retail food market in Poland and at the end of March 2020, it included 1,257 stores across the country.
