Expeditors Polska enters GLP Park Lędziny

December 19, 2022 – Expeditors Polska has leased a total of nearly 7,000 sqm of space at the GLP logistics park in Lędziny.
Expeditors is one of the world's leading TSL operators, with its headquarters in Seattle. It operates in 103 countries across 6 continents, including Poland since 2005. It specializes in international freight forwarding, customs services, warehousing and distribution, and the organization of oversized transport. At the new GLP logistics center in Lędziny, Expeditors will utilize high-bay storage and vehicles guided by an induction loop.

“A logistics center in southern Poland is the next natural step in our expansion on the local market. Lędziny is a geographically very attractive starting point for southern Europe, which fits perfectly with the needs of our clients from the areas of Wrocław, Katowice, or Kraków. Encouraged by the success of using Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks in our warehouse near Warsaw, we decided on a similar investment in Lędziny, this time at a height of 12 meters. The new location also includes plans for space with actively controlled temperature” – says Marta Piechel, Managing Director and Board Member, Expeditors Polska.

GLP Park Lędziny offers over 110,000 sqm of warehouse and production space, located directly at the S1 route junction, 10 minutes from the intersection of the A4 motorway and the S1 expressway. The project was built in accordance with the GLP Design Standard (12m clear height, increased number of skylights, increased building insulation), is BREEAM certified at the Very Good level, and is adapted for the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roofs.

“Expeditors' decision to lease one of the last remaining vacant spaces in our park is an excellent conclusion to a very active year. It is also further proof of how attractive a location on the map of Upper Silesia Lędziny has become” – comments Marcin Żuchniewicz, Business Development Manager at GLP.
