Fey has gained a new production hall

The expansion of the production plant of Fey, a manufacturer of beds and mattresses, has been completed. The general contractor for the investment, which involved the construction of an office building and a production hall, was WPIP Construction.

The complex of Fey, which is part of the German capital group FEYBRI GmbH, specializing in the production of continental and upholstered beds, mattresses, and bed bases, is located in Topole near Chojnice. As part of the expansion, the plant has been enriched with a two-story office building (500 sq m) and a new production hall (4,000 sq m). It has been equipped with a 49 kW photovoltaic installation.

– Our latest completed project shows that WPIP Construction is a company that builds quickly and efficiently, while placing emphasis on the highest quality of workmanship and offering clients comprehensive investment implementation, with consulting on the implementation of optimal solutions and support at every stage – says Marek Mielnik, Vice President of the Management Board of WPIP Construction, acting as President of the Management Board. – We also focus on partnership relations; the expansion of the production plant in Chojnice is yet another project prepared for Fey.

– When making the decision to increase the plant's area, we wanted to provide the staff with even better working conditions. Furthermore, our priority is to improve the quality of the products offered.  In the new production hall, mattress assembly, gluing, and bed upholstery will take place – adds Zbigniew Rogulski, Operations Director at Fey. – However, we understand development not only as investing in infrastructure, but also in people. Therefore, we plan to strengthen our 450-person team with qualified employees, including seamstresses and upholsterers. This involves hiring approximately 50 people.

Fey products are sold on individual order with a maximum 30-day lead time to customers from Poland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. They are also used by hotels and marine vessels. At the plant in Topole near Chojnice, approximately 1,500 upholstered beds are produced weekly.
