GLP begins construction of its second center in Gliwice

GLP has begun construction of its second logistics center in Gliwice. Ultimately, it will feature 57,000 sqm of modern warehouse and production space located in the vicinity of the Katowice Special Economic Zone. The project already has its first tenant.

GLP Gliwice II Logistics Centre is located on Kozielska Street, near the A4 motorway junction and national road No. 88. Ultimately, two halls with an area of 41,000 and 16,000 sqm will be built there, the second of which has been leased by a global provider of logistics and transport services for industry and trade. The tenant will use the building to serve one of its clients from the automotive industry.

The GLP Gliwice II Logistics Centre will feature a package of solutions and innovations known from other GLP buildings, including the possibility of installing photovoltaic panels on the roofs, a utility consumption management system, increased insulation, as well as reinforced floor load capacity. The project will be BREEAM certified at the "Excellent" level.

The general contractor for the GLP Gliwice II Logistics Centre is the company BREMER. Completion of construction is planned for mid-2025. The investor is Merity – a Czech fund for qualified investors.

"We have started construction of GLP Gliwice II in response to very high customer interest and the signing of an agreement with the first tenant," says Marcin Żuchniewicz, Business Development Manager at GLP.

GLP is one of the leading industrial developers in Upper Silesia and the Zagłębie region. The company owns 4 logistics parks in the region with a total area exceeding 300,000 sqm. In addition to the start of the project in Gliwice, GLP is also preparing to begin construction of the second stage of its warehouse center in Lędziny.
