GLP expands its operations in Upper Silesia
October 18, 2022 – GLP, a leading international company specializing in investments in logistics real estate, digital infrastructure and renewable energy, has acquired the 60,000 sqm SPM logistics center in Bieruń.
The center in Bieruń is the main facility used by SPM - the largest provider of logistics services for the automotive industry in Poland. The company will remain a tenant of the building for the next 10 years.
The building purchased by GLP is located by national road no. 44, with easy access to the S1 expressway. Tychy – one of the main centers of the automotive industry in Poland – is just a few minutes' drive away. The property is also distinguished by direct access to a railway siding.
The completed transaction is another stage of GLP's cooperation with SPM, which is also a tenant of our building in Gliwice. We are happy that it is growing with us. At the same time, the purchase confirms GLP's capabilities in the area of investing in attractive, ready-made properties in the best locations, on a par with our potential as a developer of new projects - comments Marek Jandous, Investments and Asset Management Director CEE at GLP Europe.
Legal support for the transaction was provided to GLP by the White & Case law firm. SPM was represented by Crido Legal, which was responsible for negotiating the sale-leaseback agreement.
