GLP prepares for the expansion of a logistics park near Wrocław

Static Control, a manufacturer and supplier of printer materials, has joined the group of users at Wrocław V Logistics Centre. All space in the logistics park is leased, but another phase of the project is planned for this year.

- Business development in continental Europe is very important to us, and investments like this one will ensure our customers receive the highest level of service. We will be much closer to them, shortening delivery times by up to two days – comments Juan Carlos Bonell, President of Static Control.

The buildings at GLP Wrocław V Logistics Centre are equipped with energy-saving solutions such as smart metering, LED lighting, and photovoltaic panels. An important feature of the project is the biologically diverse environment, consisting of both old-growth trees and rich new plantings. Employees can use carefully designed relaxation zones with gazebos, benches, and greenery. Next to the buildings, there are also bicycle shelters and chargers for electric cars and e-bikes.

- Expanding the park with more buildings used by, among others, e-commerce leaders is in a sense a continuation of the tradition of this location, which two thousand years ago was already an important center of craftsmanship and trade, as documented by the archaeological research we conducted prior to the project's implementation – says Michał Szczepaniak, Business Development Manager at GLP.

On the 50-hectare site of GLP Wrocław V Logistics Centre, nearly 240,000 sqm of warehouse and production space is ultimately being created. The construction of another 66,000 sqm is planned for later this year.
