Panattoni is completing the delivery of 13,000 sqm for Habasit, a leading manufacturer and supplier of innovative conveyor solutions, conveyor belts, and power transmission belts for the manufacturing sector. In January 2023, the company will consolidate two locations in the Silesian Voivodeship within Panattoni Park Czeladź V, and plans future expansion within the park.
Since the beginning of its operations, Panattoni has delivered dozens of investments for the manufacturing sector – both BTS facilities and adapted space within parks and City Logistics projects. The Silesian Voivodeship has become a hub for the industry in recent years, with Czeladź being one of the key centers. It is in this location that Habasit will consolidate its two existing regional facilities. The company provides a range of technologies for production, including high-performance, customized solutions for belts, timing belts, and modular conveyor chains. Within Panattoni Park Czeladź V, the company will occupy 13,000 sqm starting in January 2023, with the space to be expanded in the future. In addition to warehouse and production space, the company will use 2,160 sqm of office space, which Panattoni prepared in cooperation with the tenant's interior designers.
"Habasit has been making huge investments in Poland for years, developing sales, production-warehouse, and service processes as Habasit Polska. For several years, thanks to the Habasit Services company, shared services for the entire Group have been built with great success in our country. Over nearly 20 years of operations in the local market, we have gained the status of a leading manufacturer and supplier of conveyor belts and power transmission belts. Customers value us as a reliable business partner that supports them in optimizing production processes by providing reliable, long-lasting transport solutions. The investment we have completed together with Panattoni is a project that lasted over 4 years. On one hand, it is a recognition of the local teams' work to date, and on the other, it is linked to strategic plans and the role of the Polish branch in the Habasit Group's strategy for the coming years. Thanks to this investment, we are adjusting the work environment, conditions, and capacity to the development plans that await us in the coming years," says Grzegorz Rutkowski, General Manager of Habasit Polska.
"This is our next project for Habasit in the Silesian Voivodeship, which confirms that when developing in the region, it is worth choosing Panattoni. Furthermore, the very large office space shows the potential of our facilities for housing regional and even national headquarters. The tight schedule and wide scope of work did not hinder the efficient execution, thanks to which Habasit can start the production process at the beginning of next year," says Justyna Kononowicz, Senior Leasing Manager at Panattoni
An important motivation for consolidating the two locations within Panattoni Park Czeladź V was the investment's location. The facility is located just 12 km from the A1 motorway – part of the E75 route, lying in the trans-European transport corridor – and 15 km from the A4 motorway, connecting the south-eastern and south-western borders. Moreover, the drive to the Polish-Czech border takes only an hour. The international character of the park is also emphasized by the proximity of the Katowice airport, which is the national leader in air cargo among regional airports.
The location in Czeladź is appreciated by industry leaders. A 67,000 sqm BTS facility will be fully utilized in 2023 by the Polish brand 4F, belonging to OTCF S.A., and the building will be used to store, sort, and pick products ordered by customers from Poland and Europe. As part of the investment, the client's team focused primarily on utilizing competencies and technology, creating an intelligent system for managing the flow of goods.
