Hillwood Polska has started construction of a modern logistics center in Częstochowa, directly by Jaskrowska Street and Wojska Polskiego Avenue. The investment will ultimately consist of two halls and will provide over 61,000 sqm of warehouse space to the market. The first, larger building will be commissioned by the end of the second quarter of next year.
Hillwood Częstochowa-Miasto is a modern warehouse center that is being built directly by national road no. 91 (which is part of the A1 / E75 route), running from the north to the south of Europe. Ultimately, the Center will consist of two halls with a total area of over 61,000 sqm, and the first building, the construction of which has just started, will provide almost 43,000 sqm to the market. The general contractor for the project is the company Rex-Bud Budownictwo.
– This is another Hillwood project in the vicinity of Częstochowa, which, by providing companies with an excellent base for transporting goods to domestic and foreign markets, enjoys unflagging interest from tenants. A huge advantage of our new investment is its location in the city itself and access to employees, which will certainly be a great support for achieving the business goals of companies conducting warehouse and logistics operations in this facility – says Hubert Michalak, President of the Management Board of Hillwood Polska.
Hillwood cares about safe and efficient access to the projects being implemented. In planning the park, it took into account the needs of the urban location and participated in the construction of a road connecting Jaskrowska and Warszawska streets. All necessary infrastructure for pedestrian and bicycle traffic was created along the road. Modern lighting was installed on the built section, and greenery was arranged and planted. The entire investment cost over 6.8 million PLN, while Hillwood's share exceeded 4.1 million PLN.
- Cooperation with Hillwood has already resulted in a new road serving residents and the transport service of the emerging logistics center, and soon its effect will be new, attractive jobs - says Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk, Mayor of Częstochowa – Częstochowa is considered one of the most favorable warehouse and industrial locations in the country. The Hillwood investment confirms this, strengthens our position on the business map of Poland and serves the economic development of the city – adds Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk.
The Hillwood Częstochowa-Miasto investment will ultimately consist of two high-bay halls, in the A-class standard. Similar to all the developer's buildings, LED lighting will be installed in the warehouses under construction. Both buildings will have the highest standard of fire resistance – above 4000 MJ/sqm. On the premises of the warehouse center, the developer will build a large and convenient parking lot for tenants and their clients. The project will be built with the utmost attention to environmental protection and will be submitted for certification in the BREEAM system, at the excellent level.
– Upper Silesia, right after the capital, is the second largest and most important logistics market in Poland, and in the first half of this year it even recorded greater interest from tenants than the capital. In the first six months of the year, companies rented almost 770,000 sqm of modern production and warehouse space here, which gave the region first place in the country. Due to the location and excellent road connections of the region, we are observing interest in Silesia from logistics, trade, production, automotive and e-commerce sector companies – says Hubert Michalak.
