In Częstochowa, Hillwood is planning the construction of a logistics center in the area of Jaskrowska Street and Jana Pawła II Avenue, near the current National Road No. 1 and National Road No. 91, which connect the north with the south of the country. Thanks to this, the facility will have, among other things, very good visibility and quick access to routes leading out of the city. The center will ultimately consist of two halls with a total area of approximately 64,000 sqm. Częstochowa will provide future tenants with access to a qualified workforce. The Częstochowa local government has been participating in its education within the scope of its competencies for years through school and enterprise cooperation programs. These include projects such as "Professional Cooperation" or "Academic Częstochowa", as well as the broad "Now Better Work" program, focused, among other things, on improving the quality of offered employment.
– "Thanks to the development of road infrastructure, Częstochowa is becoming a logistics hub connecting the north with the south and enriching the warehouse map of Silesia and Poland. An additional advantage is the availability of qualified employees and an investment area located within the city limits, which will make the new Logistics Center an important element of urban logistics" – says Hubert Michalak, President of the Management Board of Hillwood Polska.
For its part, the city will build a road connecting Jaskrowska Street with Warszawska Street, along with a roundabout and a spur road. Such an investment is in line with the local spatial development plan adopted by the City Council for the Stare Miasto and Wyczerpy-Aniołów districts, in the area of Warszawska Street, Jana Pawła II Avenue and Wojska Polskiego Avenue. Hillwood will participate in the costs of the municipal road investment to the extent related to ensuring transport access to its facility.
– "We are all struggling with an epidemiological threat now, but this cannot paralyze our efforts for the successful future of the city" – comments Mayor Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk. – "When we have dealt with the pandemic and will no longer subordinate most of our actions to it, Częstochowa must consistently continue its path of development. This investment serves this purpose, among others, which will be followed by further jobs and – I strongly believe – the strengthening of the city's position on the investment and business map of the country."
An agreement regarding mutual investment obligations related to the construction of a public road and transport access to the Hillwood Częstochowa Miasto Logistics Center has been signed between the City of Częstochowa and the investor. On behalf of the city, it was signed by Mayor Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk, and on the investor's side – by Hubert Michalak, President of the Management Board of Hillwood Polska.
