Honeywell opens a factory at Prologis Park Chorzów
Honeywell, a global manufacturer of a wide range of technologies and devices optimizing work, is opening a factory at Prologis Park Chorzów. The facility, unique on a European scale, where advanced logistics automation devices will be produced, will begin operations as early as April.„For our new client, the availability of modern space where they could start operations as quickly as possible was important. We are pleased that we were able to fully meet all of Honeywell's needs, thanks to which production of state-of-the-art devices dedicated to warehouse logistics will start at Prologis Park Chorzów in just a few weeks” – emphasizes Piotr Brycki, leasing manager for the Upper Silesia region at Prologis.
The investment is another step in the development of Honeywell's operations outside North America. It is also significant for the region's economy - approximately 100 people will find employment in the 27,000 square meter facility.
„Thanks to our Chorzów factory, we will be able to effectively expand our local production and supply chain, and we will provide our clients with modern technologies that will strengthen their competitiveness in the dynamic e-commerce market. As a local employer, we are pleased that our expansion in the European market will also translate into new jobs in the region” – emphasized Szymon Pudlik, Senior Director Programs, Honeywell Intelligrated.
Prologis Park Chorzów is a worker-friendly place – as part of the PARKLife program, green areas for relaxation and outdoor rest have been created within the logistics center, and easy access to work is facilitated by a bus stop located on the park's premises.
