ID Logistics expands cooperation with Auchan Retail Polska

At the Mszczonów distribution center, ID Logistics is preparing dedicated solutions to increase service efficiency as well as work safety and ergonomics.

Work is also underway on the implementation of an optical signaling system to support the processes of closing full pallets in cross-docking flow and put-to-light for monitoring orders in the preparation process.

The Auchan distribution center in Mszczonów was operationally launched in 2015. A team of over 300 people from ID Logistics is responsible for comprehensive warehouse service and supply of stores of the following formats: hypermarkets, supermarkets, franchise stores, and Auchan Direct in the northern part of Poland. A wide range of food and industrial products is handled in the BTS warehouse.

– The new formula of our cooperation is primarily support for the implementation of our business strategy, i.e., the development and service of various network formats, including franchise stores and e-commerce. As part of the extension of our cooperation, we will not only adapt but also introduce new operational processes – says Piotr Dopierała, Director of Logistics and Supply Chain at Auchan Retail Polska.

These include Watch Out (a LED warning light signaling system) and Clean Picker (a mobile workstation for repairing damaged packaging). Currently, work is also underway on the implementation of an optical signaling system to support the processes of closing full pallets in cross-docking flow and put-to-light for monitoring orders in the preparation process.
