Panattoni with another major project for e-commerce. As early as February 2024, ID Logistics will begin operations for one of the largest clothing distributors in the world. The company will occupy the entire Panattoni Park Poznań West Gate II in Tarnowo Podgórne, and the new facility will allow it to consolidate operations from its existing locations.
– „Cooperation with ID Logistics is extremely active – over the last 5 years we have delivered a total of over 200,000 sqm for the operator, including in Zgorzelec, Krzyżowice, Wola Rakowa, and the Warsaw region. The excellent cooperation to date and the availability of a suitable warehouse immediately became the basis for our latest joint project in Tarnowo Podgórne” – comments Katarzyna Kujawiak, Development Director at Panattoni.
The logistics operator decided to lease the entire Panattoni Park Poznań West Gate II with an area of over 47,000 sqm, including an office facility occupying nearly 2,000 sqm. The company will handle e-commerce processes in Poland and on European markets for an international clothing distributor. Ultimately, 300 employees will be employed at the facility.
At Panattoni Park Poznań West Gate II, the developer will prepare space for, among other things, an order picking zone. The distribution center will also feature specialized infrastructure for steam ironing clothes and a system for storing clothing on hangers. Panattoni has also designed a number of solutions to increase work comfort. The developer will apply additional skylights in the roof, in the zone above the docks and the side facade, as well as glazed gates. Wellbeing solutions have been supplemented with a number of energy- and water-saving technologies. The facility will undergo environmental certification using the BREEAM method at the Excellent level.
Fashion industry as the driving force of e-commerceThe value of the European e-commerce market is forecast to grow from 590 billion dollars at the end of 2023 to 890 billion 5 years later. Potential growth is heavily influenced by the fashion industry, whose products, according to the Omni-Commerce 2023 report, are the most frequently chosen in the online sales channel. – „The growing fashion e-commerce also means a huge demand for modern logistics and distribution centers designed to handle online sales. With over 4 million sqm of space completed for e-commerce, we have proven to be a valuable support for ID Logistics, once again confirming that we are a proven partner for the largest players on the market” – summarizes Katarzyna Kujawiak from Panattoni.
The investment, fully leased by ID Logistics, is another project by the developer in Tarnowo Podgórne. Panattoni Park Poznań West Gate I with an area of 61,000 sqm is close to full commercialization, and within it, among others, over 40,000 sqm is leased by a company from the logistics industry. Strategic investments in this part of Greater Poland are favored by a perfectly connected location.
