MAXON advised JAS-FBG S.A. in the process of leasing warehouse space

In the process of negotiation and preparation of the leasing strategy, JAS-FBG was represented by experts from MAXON Nieruchomości.

The building, tailored to the needs of JAS-FBG S.A., will consist of 6000 sqm of warehouse space and 600 sqm of office and social space. The facility for JAS-FBG will feature as many as 28 docks. New parking spaces will also be created: 19 for trucks and 20 for passenger cars. The warehouse will be commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2018.

– The development of domestic distribution over the last two years has been very dynamic. To meet the needs of our customers, in 2016-17 we changed facilities in Kraków, Wrocław, Kielce, Białystok, Rzeszów and completed the construction of our own investment in Słupsk. This year, we are making a significant change to the warehouse in Łódź, which also serves as a sorting center for general cargo shipments. We were looking for a place that would be well-connected to the motorway junction and have convenient public transport infrastructure. The new building will be a cross-dock warehouse with twice as many gates as a warehouse in a standard layout, thanks to which we will significantly improve transshipment operations. A great convenience is also the fact that the facility is being built exclusively for JAS-FBG – comments Hubert Michalski, Head of the Domestic Forwarding Department at JAS-FBG S.A.

– Łódź, due to its strategic location, is an excellent place for warehouse space. It was in this key location that we had the opportunity to offer the client a dedicated cross-dock warehouse. We are pleased that our cooperation with JAS-FBG, which has been ongoing for several years in Pruszków near Warsaw, is also developing in Central Poland – adds Waldemar Witczak, Regional Director at Segro.

In the leasing process, both the short delivery period of the new building and the limited time for the transaction process and design work were crucial.
