Representatives of Panattoni, the leader of the industrial real estate market in Europe, and Media Expert - owner of several hundred electronics stores in Poland – as well as the Mayor of Łódź Hanna Zdanowska, ceremoniously opened the newest part of the Media Expert logistics center at the Central European Logistics Hub on September 2. Two halls – one just put into use and the other completed a year ago – with an area of 160,000 sq m - have been connected to the existing Media Expert building, creating a central complex for domestic distribution. The three buildings occupy a total of 232,000 sq m, and about a thousand people will work here. The total area leased to Media Expert by Panattoni in the Łódź region is already over 270,000 sq m, with another 35,000 sq m under construction.
In Łódź for 17 years. Panattoni has been operating in Łódź since the beginning of its activity. Over 17 years, it has delivered over 2 million sq m in the city's region, which confirms a good climate for business in Central Poland. The developer has built as much as 270,000 sq m for Media Expert – owner of over 540 electronics stores across the country, of which 160,000 sq m was occupied by the ceremoniously opened 2 halls of the logistics center within the Central European Logistics Hub. The facilities have been connected to each other by means of conveyor belts, which allow for the automatic transfer of products. The three buildings occupy a total of 270,000 sq m and form a central Media Expert complex for domestic distribution. The grand opening took place on September 2 this year, and was attended by, among others, Marek Dobrzycki, Managing Director of Panattoni, Andrzej Błachowicz, Vice President of TERG S.A., the owner of Media Expert, and Hanna Zdanowska, Mayor of Łódź.
The project is commented on by
Marek Dobrzycki, Managing Director at Panattoni: - „
The final opening of another logistics center, delivered by us for Media Expert, is very important for many reasons. Firstly, it cements our long-term cooperation with a client for whom we have already completed over 270,000 sq m in the Łódź region. Secondly, once again we see huge support from the local authorities. The city's leaders have been with us since the beginning of our operations in Łódź, and their pro-business attitude is the driving force behind our activities in the region. Thirdly, it confirms the great potential of the Central European Logistics Hub for large companies operating throughout the country. Nearly 600,000 sq m of delivered space makes the concept of a new business district of Łódź a bullseye”.

We tied ourselves to Łódź a decade ago and we are still investing here, creating new jobs, because we appreciate the good climate for further development prevailing here. It is in Łódź that we are carrying out the largest investments with our long-term partner – Panattoni. Quality, punctuality and professionalism are very important to us, and Panattoni guarantees them, and that is why they are the best binder for our brands and a guarantee of fruitful cooperation in the future” - says Marek Grzebita, President of TERG S.A., owner of the Media Expert brand
- „
4 years after we announced together with Panattoni the creation of the largest production and distribution center in Poland, we can announce that it is basically nearing completion. It is almost unimaginable that in such a short time it was possible to build from scratch a bustling industrial district in Łódź, which has created new jobs and undoubtedly contributes to the development of the city. I thank Panattoni for the trust they have placed in Łódź; your investments create the infrastructure that makes the development of companies in Łódź possible. I would also like to cordially thank Media Expert, which decided that it is in Łódź that the central logistics complex for domestic distribution will be built. I assure you that we will make every effort to ensure that you feel as good as possible in Łódź" – says Hanna Zdanowska, Mayor of Łódź.
The location in the central part of the country allows for the optimization of logistics and shortens delivery times both to individual customers - e-commerce, omnichannel - as well as stationary stores. The Central European Logistics Hub is located within the borders of Łódź, and thanks to very good access to public transport, it is an attractive place for employees. This is particularly important for Media Expert, which will employ a thousand people within the three buildings located in the Hub. In the vicinity of the complex there is a railway station, and in cooperation with the City, a dedicated bus connection will be launched. The complex is perfectly suited as a central warehouse due to its location in the almost geographical center of Poland. The investment is located at ul. Jędrzejowska in Łódź, right next to the A1 – the only Polish motorway running north-south. The Hub is only 30 km away from the Łódź Północ junction, which is the intersection of the A1 and A2 motorways.
The target area of the entire Central European Logistics Hub is over 720,000 sq m. Among the companies that have already located their logistics or production centers here are, among others, BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego and SMYK. The Hub drives the development of the New Industrial District of Łódź, which is expected to provide a total of 7,000 jobs
