MLP Group as an ecological investor

MLP Group has received the BREEAM International New Construction certificate at the Very Good level for its new investment in the MLP Pruszków II logistics center.

Popularizing good practices in construction has become a priority for the developer. MLP Group builds facilities that are not only environmentally friendly but also ensure comfort for their users. The developer systematically introduces eco-solutions into its parks. In accordance with the Group's standard, all new investments being implemented are mandatorily covered by BREEAM certification at a level of at least "Very Good". In this way, sustainable development indicators covering a range of environmental issues are analyzed. The MLP Group strategy regarding ecological solutions also assumes adapting existing facilities to the requirements of green certificates. The goal is for the entire real estate portfolio to be covered by BREEAM certification in the future.

BREEAM certification is the most popular method for assessing buildings in terms of their environmental friendliness and functionality. Each investment is assessed in ten categories, including project management, user well-being, energy efficiency, transport accessibility, water and material consumption, environmental pollution, and innovation.

The developer's facility was designed and built in accordance with the BREEAM International New Construction 2016 sustainable development assessment guidelines at the Very Good level. In the certification process for the newly built hall, criteria such as "health and well-being", "waste", "water and sewage management", "energy", "project management", and "pollution" were highly rated.

We build so that our facilities meet the highest ecological standards and are not only environmentally friendly but also ensure comfort for all people using them. We take care of the green surroundings, modernize infrastructure for cyclists, set up shelters, install electric chargers, and promote car-sharing. We are a conscious investor with over twenty years of experience, and we know that the costs incurred will bring savings in the long run for both us and our tenants. Additionally, it is worth emphasizing that ecological solutions increase the attractiveness of the offer, ensuring lower operating costs for clients. This is of great importance for companies with long-term contracts. Currently, ecological solutions are a so-called "must have" – said Agnieszka Góźdź, Sales Director at MLP Group.

Ecology and sustainable development have already become part of the developer's standard. The Group successively takes actions to limit the negative impact of its operations on the natural environment. It systematically introduces further innovations to its new facilities. In office areas, it uses, among other things, glazing that increases access to daylight and provides employees with better working conditions, as well as an Asset Information Model (AIM), used for administering and controlling facility systems. The Group also uses a system solution called Interact Industry - an innovative platform through which it is possible to better manage all lighting and monitor its operation. This reduces electricity consumption, improves safety in the warehouse, optimizes space utilization, and thus lowers operating costs. Additionally, the developer promotes the dynamically developing trend of so-called car-sharing, providing parking spaces near the building entrance for people jointly using the car-sharing system.
