MLP Group strengthens its position in the construction of large big-box formats

The company W.P.I.P. is responsible for the construction of warehouse facilities as part of the MLP Poznań West project. It is an expert in building and equipping technologically advanced and sustainable industrial facilities that use solutions meeting high environmental standards. MLP Group has been cooperating with W.P.I.P. since the very beginning of the construction of MLP Poznań West. Over the years 2019-2021, the general contractor has already built facilities with a total area of nearly 41,000 sqm in this logistics park.

- Thanks to several years of cooperation, we are executing each subsequent MLP Group facility more efficiently and can focus on implementing modern technologies and sustainable solutions. We are already achieving the highest level of BREEAM certification. A win-win principle applies here - for us as a general contractor, it is an opportunity for continuous development, and for the developer and warehouse space tenants, it means streamlining processes and receiving the expected quality – said Janusz Signetzki, Vice President of W.P.I.P.

The center is being built in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. All facilities will be covered by BREEAM certification at the Excellent level. Concern for ecology is already the foundation of the company's operations. The installation of photovoltaic panels is planned on the roofs of the buildings. Infrastructure for cyclists, electric car charging stations, and insect hotels are being created in the park. In the office section, the developer will use glazing that will increase access to daylight and provide better working conditions for employees. Furthermore, a digital operational model enriched with physical features, technical parameters, information regarding equipment, and installed devices will be created based on the actual facility. The Asset Information Model (AIM) will be used for the administration and controlling of facility systems. The developer strives to ensure that the technological innovations it uses are an economic asset when choosing a facility.

- We are strongly entering the construction of truly large warehouse facilities of around 50,000 sqm, i.e., the so-called big box. Our activities in this area include, among others, the MLP Poznań West project, which is developing very dynamically. On one hand, this is the result of a great location near Poznań with the possibility of quick access. On the other hand, tenants appreciate the high quality of the investment carried out with concern for the natural environment and user comfort. Our partner in the expansion of the logistics park is the company W.P.I.P., which is very experienced in the implementation of technologically advanced, including large, investments. We have been cooperating with them since the beginning of the construction of this logistics park and also on other projects – emphasized Agnieszka Góźdź, Sales Director at MLP Group S.A.

The modern distribution center MLP Poznań West is a complex located on the western side of Poznań, next to the S11 expressway and just 7 km from the junction of the A2 motorway and the S11 route. The center is aimed primarily at companies from the e-commerce, logistics, distribution, and light production sectors. The MLP Poznań West project will ultimately provide approx. 150,000 sqm of state-of-the-art warehouse and office space.
