At the beginning of the year, Accolade Group completed the construction of a new park in Elbląg, the second largest city in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. The Elbląg park is located just five kilometers from the city center and a 35-minute drive from the port in Gdańsk. The direct proximity of the S7 expressway also enables fast communication with Warsaw and Kraków.
Elbląg, with a population of 120,000 and two universities, is struggling with a relatively high unemployment rate.
“With the creation of our new industrial park, 200 new jobs will be created. Elbląg offers access to a wide pool of potential, qualified employees, which is why we are pleased that our investment will contribute to improving the local labor market.” - explains Jarek Wnuk, Managing Director of Accolade in Poland.
“Currently, there is no other class A warehouse in the area. This is not the first time we have carried out investments in a region with poor logistics infrastructure, but that is exactly what the Accolade strategy is about. We invest in places that are not an obvious choice. Such a business model is based on our experience, the ability to recognize the potential of smaller cities and grow together with them. Elbląg is another example of such a successful process. The park is already fully leased.” - added Wnuk.
The Accolade park is the first modern class A warehouse in Elbląg. The 20,000 m2 warehouse consists of 2 buildings. It is situated on a 7 ha plot and is entirely leased to two tenants: Flex (FLEXTRONICS INTERNATIONAL POLAND SP. Z O.O) and DPD.
Like other parks in the Accolade portfolio, the park in Elbląg has a BREEAM certificate. It will soon also be equipped with green solutions, such as containers for electronic waste, as well as AED defibrillators or elements of small architecture, which will be located on the plot surrounding the warehouse halls.
