New center for LPP

In January 2021, LPP will begin construction of a distribution center in the Brześć Kujawski municipality. The investment value is approximately 200 million PLN. Construction work will last until the end of next year, and the launch of the center is planned for the first quarter of 2022.

The construction of the distribution center in Brześć Kujawski is another step in the development of the LPP logistics network, supporting the company's business expansion in both stationary retail and e-commerce. The new facility will enable the diversification of the Gdańsk-based company's logistics operations and relieve the main LPP Distribution Center in Pruszcz Gdański. The implementation of the investment located in the Brzeska Economic Zone will proceed in stages. Handing over the site to the general contractor is planned no later than January 15, 2021. The construction of the facility, installation of warehouse automation, and stocking of the center will take about 12 months.

The area of the LPP distribution center in Brześć Kujawski will amount to 75,000 sqm, including 65,000 m2 for the warehouse, while 10,000 sqm will be office and technical space. In the building, in addition to automated systems, solutions increasing energy efficiency and limiting the impact of the facility's operation on the local ecosystem will be used. The installation of photovoltaic systems with a total capacity of 1.5 MW is planned on the building's roof. In the first phase of operation, the center will employ approximately 500 people. Ultimately, as many as 1,000 jobs are to be created. Recruitment will begin in the third quarter of 2021.
